Rick Van Santen

I don't really know what else to say than good bye to a bright light. Seeing someone who I have taken for their smile and presence for granted, that is so much a part of the world that I work and live in, is truly a heart crushing shock. Knowing that Rick had surrounded himself with so many wonderful people and that his accomplishment will carry his memory far beyond the 'oh so many people that knew him personally and cared about him does make me smile.

Here is Rick at Reading Festival in the UK last summer (2003). I heard that Rick passed away Saturday Dec 27th of something having to do with the flu. I don't know where Rat Sound or myself would be right now without the support and trust people like Rick, Paul and Gary of GoldenVoice have put in us over the years. We miss you Rick!
