Dual 18"/quad 12"/2"/1" (~1988)
We repackaged the components from the thin fills into a horizontally splay able cabinet that was the same external dimensions as the Rat 5 System. By comparing this design to the previous "Thin Fill" and the "Rat 5" we were able to gather extremely valuable information on the effects of component configuration and coupling. The 12"s are on a vertically split baffle facing 7.5 degrees outwards. By doubling the number of 12"s to 4 per 2" horn we realized more lows and the system worked quite well for guitar heavy bands. Must of been all those 12's. |
