KROQ Inland Invasion 2006 featuring Guns and Roses and
Alice in Chains and more
Los Angeles, CA September 23rd 2006. This past weekend, the World Famous
KROQ Radio station hosted the much talked about Inland Invasion which featured
bands including Alice in Chains, Muse, Buck Cherry, and of course, the highly
anticipated return of Guns and Roses playing for the first time in 15 years
to their home town crowd of Los Angeles.
Rat Sound Systems based in Oxnard California, as for all the previous years
of this festival provided the sound system for this one stage, all day event.
They brought along 48 V-dosc, 32 Rat Subs, 9 dV-dosc powered by Lab Gruppen
LA48A's and XTA processing.
At front of house were two Midas Heritage 3000's with two Yamaha PM5D's for
monitors. While most of the bands (which included Papa Roach and actor Jared
Leto's band, 30 Seconds to Mars) used the Rat Sound provided monitor rig,
Guns and Roses, Alice in Chains and Muse brought their own while playing to
over 30,000 fans at the Hyundai Pavilion about 1 hour outside of Los Angeles.
